Here we are back for another season and already buzzing for our first turns on all this fabulous fresh snow. Les 2 Alpes opens this weekend, 29 November and stays open right through to the 3 May 2026 and early signs are looking really promising.
Up top the snowpack is sitting around 80 cm, with about 30 cm of fresh snow just fallen. The avalanche risk is currently 3/5, so a bit of caution off‑pistes for now, but the pistes themselves are looking ready for first runs. With cold nights and mostly settled weather forecast for the next few days, the snow should hold well and give a solid start to the season.
What’s new in Les 2 Alpes this winter
The resort has been busy this summer and winter with some exciting new additions. Beginner slopes have moved higher, now reaching 2,100m and 2,600m, giving learners better snow and more reliable conditions. For those after a calmer ride, the Jandri Walk blue run between 2,800m and 3,200m offers scenic views and a peaceful descent. At 2,600m, two new magic carpets replace the old rope tow for easier slope access and improved convenience around the Chalet de la Toura.
Other upgrades include a brand new photo‑point at the Bellecombe chairlift, free digital snaps for memories or social media, and more sustainability with 100% electric shuttle buses and charging points for electric and hybrid cars. Wellness and leisure have also had a boost: new therapies at Terres Alma Wellness Centre and Summit Health 2A, plus a new swimming pool and ice rink opening this December.
Don’t miss these December events in Les 2 Alpes
The early-season events are not to be missed. From early December, the slopes will host Avalanche Rescue Dog Training, showcasing skilled dogs and their handlers. On 5 December the snowpark opens with a jam session, and from 6 December the Rise Festival kicks off a week-long party with DJs, live music, après-ski sessions, fire‑pit acoustic sets and plenty of mountain vibes.
With solid snow, plenty of new slopes and facilities, and a buzzing events calendar, Les 2 Alpes is shaping up for a brilliant start to the season. Whether you’re chasing powder, learning to ski, or just after a chilled mountain weekend, it’s looking like an early-season hit.
