Les Deux Alpes has a solid mid winter feel this week, with the glacier and upper mountain holding onto their snow well and the resort looking settled rather than changeable. The high terrain above town remains bright and well covered, while lower slopes are quieter and more consistent than earlier in the season. There is a steady, unhurried rhythm to skiing at the moment, and conditions feel dependable across much of the area.
Snow and Weather Summary
Current snow depths are sitting at around 200 to 220cm on the upper mountain and glacier, with approximately 50 to 70cm at resort level. There has been little new snowfall over the past few days, though occasional light snow flurries at altitude have helped keep piste surfaces fresh. Daytime temperatures on the mountain have been ranging between -7 and -4 degrees Celsius, with the freezing level hovering close to 1500m. Snow conditions are skiing well higher up, where packed powder and well groomed pistes are offering good grip throughout the day. Lower runs are firmer first thing and tend to soften slightly by early afternoon, particularly on sunnier aspects. Winds have generally been light, with no significant impact on lift operations.
