With or without skis, the Les Deux Alpes glacier offers an unforgettable experience that is not to be missed. The view from 3400m is stupendous, the new Skywalk is heart stopping, and the Ice Caves take you right into the heart of the glacier.

The summer ski season starts this weekend with the opening of the Les Deux Alpes glacier ski area, a week ahead of Tignes. The snow conditions on the glacier are some of the best we've seen thanks to a particularly snow heavy winter season - this webcam view shows a very snowy glacier park at 2300m. Les Deux Alpes have developed one of Europe's best summer snow parks which attracts park rats from June through to September.
