With off-piste guiding and instruction from the European Ski and Snowboard School, you get to experience the best terrain Les Deux Alpes has to offer with an experienced, top qualified, locally based instructor. Avalanche safety equipment is available to hire from the ski school if you do not have your own, and safety is always the first priority.
In a private off-piste lesson or freeride clinic you can develop your off-piste technique at the same time as exploring the mountain. The Clot de Chalance, Les Gourses, North Face of the Rachas, Deversoir couloir and the East and West Faces of the Belle Etoile are all waiting for you.
The Dome de la Lauze at the top of Les Deux Alpes provides the link to La Grave – La Meije and spectacular back-country skiing in a high mountain environment. The Vallons de la Meije and Chancel itineraries are classic off-piste routes that should be high on any serious skier’s wish list, and the return via the iconic Telepherique de la Meije cable car is another experience not to be missed. Steeper runs, as challenging or extreme as you want them, are available in abundance for the adrenaline junkies.

Step inside the heart of Les Deux Alpes’ newest lift and discover the engineering behind the Jandri three-S. Every Tuesday from late December, with extra sessions during the February holidays, you can join a guided visit to the intermediate station at two-thousand-six-hundred metres.

As you enter the resort, follow the main high street (Avenue de la Muzelle) in the Venosc direction. After at least 1km you will come to a roundabout displaying international flags, at this point you will see the office on your left hand side opposite the “Secret“ bar and across from the “Polar Bear” pub.
The office is open daily from 08:30 until 12:30 and from 16:00 until 19:00. At busy times, such as transfer day and high season, the office is open non-stop from 08:30 until 19:00.

The Rise Festival just before Christmas features big name bands and DJs, while other big winter events include the Mad Snow Race in January. In the summer, snow camps and freestyle ski competitions take place on the glacier, while the legendary mountain bike race, the Mountain of Hell, takes place at the end of June.
