Le Village 1800, a new area of Les Deux Alpes, is located on the left as you enter the resort and is composed of purpose-built apartment blocks and holiday clubs. You can also stay at two smaller, traditional villages in the vicinity.
Venosc is a medieval village only accessible by gondola from Les Deux Alpes, and Mont de Lans is the quiet village that you pass through on the way up to Les Deux Alpes from the main road.

The Rise Festival just before Christmas features big name bands and DJs, while other big winter events include the Mad Snow Race in January. In the summer, snow camps and freestyle ski competitions take place on the glacier, while the legendary mountain bike race, the Mountain of Hell, takes place at the end of June.
