When planning your break away to the mountains here are a few things worth thinking about before you decide what to go for.

Book early
We recommend you book your apartment accommodation as soon as possible. Apartments usually sell out quite quickly and a lot of people book as early as January for the next winter season. Book it before buying your flights or train ticket, the reason being that availability may be limited and arrival/departure dates are not always as flexible as travel options.

How long you want to stay
Most apartments in Les 2 Alpes are rented on a weekly basis only. You’ll find that Saturday to Saturday rentals are most common, but increasingly with the times being as they are, dates can be flexible and some chalet companies may provide a mix of Saturday and Sunday changeovers.

Plus shorter and longer breaks are becoming more and more popular, so some companies may be flexible on their rental dates on request. Summer bookings in Les 2 Alpes are generally much more flexible on dates and length of stay, especially outside the peak months of July and August. This means that you can come for a long weekend, for ten days or for a few days mid-week more easily.

Size matters

With great nightlife and plenty of choice when it comes to group accommodation, Les 2 Alpes has lots going on and it’s situated in one of the biggest ski areas in the world.

Where can you find big apartments for groups in Les 2 Alpes?
Many groups of friends come to Les Deux Alpes not only to sample its world-renowned pistes but also its famous après-ski fun. For them, staying in the centre of resort is a must. Spacious pads sleeping up to 10 people and more can be found in the centre, as well as in Le Village 1800. However, if your idea of the perfect group getaway or corporate retreat is to stay in and make your own entertainment, perhaps you'll be charmed by the picturesque villages of Venosc and Mont de Lans, offering a much more authentic Alpine feel but with fewer services and facilities.

Family apartments in Les Deux Alpes

Les 2 Alpes is really well set up for mountain-loving families, with plenty of activities for all ages and a host of family-friendly apartments. Family holidays tend to have their own unique requirements, and services for families in Les 2 Alpes can range from providing cots and highchairs in accommodation to babysitting and childcare services. Depending on what is going to make or break your family holiday, make sure you discuss it with your accommodation provider before you book. When travelling with kids, being close to the ski schools' meeting points and nursery slopes while also far from the hustle and bustle of the resort's centre is usually what makes an apartment's location just perfect.

Where can you find family-friendly apartments in Les 2 Alpes?
In Les Deux Alpes try searching for accommodation by the Alpette lift area, where you'll be close to a children's learn-to-ski zone and the indoor swimming pool, or to the nursery slopes by the Bosquet and Vikings lift. Les 2 Alpes Village 1800 is also a great option, even if it has fewer facilities than the main resort, as it offers a quieter skiing holiday. The main advantage of staying up here is quick and easy access to and from the ski area via the Village chair, on-site ticket sales, ski schools and lots of free covered parking under the apartment blocks. First impressions are a bit concrete jungle but, once you get to your apartment, you'll usually find great mountain views as the whole complex is halfway up the hill.

Budget apartments in Les Deux Alpes

Well-known for being more affordable than other big Alpine ski areas, Les Deux Alpes is a great option for those looking for a reasonably priced holiday while still enjoying some of the best pistes in Europe.

How can you save money on your Les 2 Alpes accommodation?
There are cheap apartments all around resort but the best bargains are often located outside the main 2 Alpes town, away from the local restaurants, bars and activities. You're more likely to find great bargains in the Village 1800 and the Petit Plan area.

Ski-in & ski-out apartments in Les Deux Alpes

Ski-in/ski-out apartments are the most sought-after in Les 2 Alpes. There's no better feeling than being able to put your skis on right outside your front door.

Where can you find ski-in/ski-out apartments in Les 2 Alpes?
There are a few modern apartment residences in the centre of Les Deux Alpes offering ski-in/ski-out accommodation. However, being able to ski to the door depends on there being enough snow cover low down in the valley, which may not always be the case early or late in the season. This isn't a problem, though – in the absence of low snow, there are regular shuttle services connecting the resort and the lifts, and the views from these apartments at the foot of the mountains are usually fabulous!
