Snow forecast for the opening weekend
Hello and welcome to the first Video Snow Report from Les Deux Alpes for the new winter season. My name is Dan and each week I'll be bringing you the latest gossip, piste information and weather reports from Les Deux Alpes. So to stay in the know, stay logged on to www.see2alpes.com.
The recent weather has meant that although we have snow on the hill it is only on the higher peaks as the freezing level has been very high, around 2000m. However with 20cm of fresh snow forecast this Sunday and temperatures set to fall the skiing conditions are looking good and are set to improve.
This weekend the lifts will open and the area from 2600m up to the glacier at 3600m will be open.
In town the big party this weekend is the opening of the legendary Smokey Joe's which promises to be a night to remember, if you can.
