Hay Day summer festival

Step back in time where revellers will be in period costumes demonstrating skills of yesteryear.

Programme

2 August 2025

Presentation and demonstration of traditional crafts, food, refreshments and bingo.

3 August 2025

08:00: meeting with farmers and their herds at the foot of the Venosc village cable car, followed by breakfast, a storyteller and sheaves of wheat distributed in the church square

09:30: open-air mass at the Broua in Venosc

10.30: parade in period costumes along the Avenue de la Muzelle

12:00: aperitif offered by the commune on the Place des 2 Alpes and lunch with the flavours of the Hay Festival on the festival site but also in various restaurants in Les 2 Alpes

All day long you can enjoy wooden games, presentation and demonstration of traditional crafts, folk groups, horse-drawn carriage rides (Mérens horses), refreshment stalls, garage sale, sale of regional products, and above all demonstrations of traditional practices.

Upcoming Events

In winter the resort is host to a number of international festivals and skiing events. The Rise Festival just before Christmas features big name bands and DJs, while other big winter events include the Mad Snow Race in January. In the summer, snow camps and freestyle ski competitions take place on the glacier, while the legendary mountain bike race, the Mountain of Hell, takes place at the end of June.
