1. La Grange Restaurant

Located next to the ice rink, this restaurant offers an extensive menu, with Savoyard specialities like fondue and raclette, as well as pizzas, grilled meats and home made desserts. A warm and friendly atmosphere with a large interior, making it the perfect place for large groups, families and friends and we hear the moules frites and steak tartare are great! 

Their specialities also include choucroute (sauerkraut) with sausages, bacon or even salmon and mussels, as well as pasta and pizza.

They have a great wine menu from Corsican and French vineyards, or try the Corsican chestnut beer.

All of their dishes are made with fresh ingredients. From traditional mountain specialities to meat and Corsican produce.

3. Smithy's Tavern Restaurant

Smithy’s in Les Deux Alpes is a lively restaurant and bar serving generous portions of grilled meats, steaks and sizzling fajitas. The gourmet burgers are a standout, packed with flavour and served with all the classic trimmings. With its vibrant, energetic atmosphere, it’s the perfect place for a hearty dinner followed by a fun night out in the heart of the resort, making it a favourite for both locals and visitors looking for great food and a lively après-ski scene.

The restaurant is upstairs, whilst downstairs the bar is a go-to for live music, drinks and a proper party vibe.

Traditional regional cuisine made with local produce all year. 

Lunch and dinner, indoor or on the terrace, they serve specialities such as salads, frogs' legs, snails, rib steak, Savoyard fondue, Bourguignonne fondue (meat fondue), pierrade using Charolais beef, raclette and baked Saint Felicien cheese with genepi.

5. Les Melezes Restaurant and Brasserie

This restaurant, with its view over the Massif de la Muzelle, can accommodate around a hundred diners.

The restaurant has been awarded the "Maitre Restaurateur" label for their high culinary standards, and have dedicated as much care to their brasserie as their restaurant.

Panelling, crisp white and crimson tablecloths, porcelain tableware and food inspired by the morning's trip to the market: the chef creates a new lunchtime menu every day. For dinner, they offer a carefully designed four-course menu and, twice a week, a dessert buffet.

In the brasserie you will find raclette, tartiflette and other local specialities: comforting, substantial dishes, perfect for enjoying on the south-facing terrace at the bottom of the pistes when you have just skied all the way down.

6. Le Paellou Restaurant

Known for its simple, but great, traditional French cuisine and reasonable prices, Le Paellou restaurant is also organiser of the unofficial "World Championship for raclette eaters".

Eat as much fondue or raclette as you can without succumbing to a cheese induced coma - now there's a challenge. Particularly popular with both families (children's menu available) and groups, booking in advance is strongly advised.

7. Les Lutins Restaurant & Bar

This pub style bar and restaurant has been around since 1959 and is perfect as a great place to catch up on the latest sporting events, or sit out in the sun on their lovely terrace.

Located at the Hotel Les Lutins you can relax at the bar, play your friends at table football, warm up with a homemade vin chaud or sit out on the terrace with a refreshing beer enjoying the sunshine and the views.

At the restaurant, they offer a small but tasty menu at lunchtime and dinner, with regularly changing dishes. Favourites such as home made burgers, fondue, steak, fresh pastas, hearty soups and a daily plat du jour are all on offer.

At the Cabane des Lutins snack bar you can snack on crepes, waffles and ice creams on the terrace.

8. Chez le Gaulois Restaurant

They also have a shop selling regional delicatessen, which you can try at their restaurant.

A large selection of cheese, cold meats, sausages, wine and specialities such as the summer Beaufort cheese fondue, raclette or reblochonnade. There are nine different fondues available, including a five-cheese version and the very unusual Super-Gauloise champagne fondue. They also offer set menus.

Restaurant open for lunch and dinner, serving local Savoyarde specialities, as well as classic French dishes.

Affordable lunch menus are on offer each day, with varied options available as two or three courses. Their signature dish is the matured côte de boeuf, which can be ordered by the kilo and is great for multiple people sharing. 

Inspirations from the lunch menu include veal and tagliatelle and pork shoulder. On the à la carte menu you'll find more grilled meat dishes, gourmet salads and burgers, fish of the day, as well as fondue.

There is an excellent and reasonably-priced wine list, as well as a wide selections of cocktails and classic bar drinks.

10. Les Sagnes Restaurant

A welcoming restaurant serving traditional galettes and crepes, as well as Savoyard fondues and international cuisine beside the open fireplace.

In the winter this place is a cosy and welcoming retreat from the elements, where you can settle in by the roaring fire in the rustic dining room. In the summer or a sunny lunchtime, the terrace is equally welcoming and has plenty of seating.

The crepe menu is irresistible, with so many options for all tastes, but there's also a wide choice of dishes in the menu from healthy poke bowls and salads, succulent roasted, cured and grilled meats and fish, burgers and Savoyarde fondue, tartiflette and pierrade. The chef also curates a daily special, which is offered as a main or a menu with a desert.

Wash down your galette with some traditional cider, or choose from the wine list. And follow it all up with a deliciously sweet crepe.

Friendly service and generous portions, all at a reasonable price. Takeaway also available.

11. Les Caprices de 1800 Restaurant

Serving traditional French dishes as well as crepes, this restaurant doubles as an après-ski bar, often showing sports games inside and on the terrace.

This popular restaurant is easy to access right at the foot of the slopes and in the centre of the Village area of Les 2 Alpes. Take a break for lunch during your ski day, ease into a terrace table for an après-ski beer at the end of your day on the mountain, or head out on foot in the evening for dinner. This restaurant is in prime position and the views are fantastic.

The varied menu offers options for a quick and easy crepe or pizza, as well as more intimate French dining, with a mouth-watering selection of roasted or grilled meat and fish dishes, charcuterie and cheese boards, burgers, and Savoyard fondue and raclette.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the portions are generous, all at a price that won't break the bank.

12. Le Rustique Restaurant

Located in the centre of Les Deux Alpes, this small and cosy restaurant serves excellent Savoyard dishes, pizzas and much more.

Choose from the traditional Savoyard food and relax in the friendly atmosphere. With a children's menu, this restaurant is perfect for families or for a cosy romantic meal.

Reservations are required for group bookings as the restaurant is on the small side. Open Monday to Saturday from 12:00 to 14:30 and from 19:00 to 22:00. On Sundays, open from 12:00 to 14:30.

13. Crêpes a Go Go Restaurant

Serving crêpes, salads and enormous ice creams, this restaurant a good spot to bring the whole family.

A warm and welcoming setting decorated with vintage bric-a-brac, jazz and classical music, a roaring fire, a nice selection of beers and traditional Breton crêpes await you at this restaurant. Towards the Venosc end of town, there is plenty more on offer than crepes, including a very good fondue. They serve up a great range of Montagnard specialties in a setting that fuses rustic appeal with classic French style. 

With seats around an open fireplace, in cosy alcoves, or on the terrace, this is a great location to celebrate a special occasion as a couple or as a group, and a wonderful place to share a fondue with good friends.

14. La Taverne du Brichon Restaurant

Knowledge and expertise over three generations of knowledgeable cheesemongers has led to the creation of this unique restaurant, offering high quality local cheese-based dishes in their former dairy. A true traditional mountain experience not to be missed.

The family dairy has evolved over generations into a restaurant, where guests now dine in the ageing cellar where the cows were once housed, and where the cheese is still matured. Try their carefully aged cheeses in the form of fondues or raclettes.

Dining is taverna-style, with long tables and convivial atmosphere. It's great for larger groups.

They offer a simple set menu to showcase their excellent cheeses. The menu includes a starter or side salad, choice of main from the two cheese options, and choice of dessert made with their fresh dairy produce.

Alternatively, you can choose their cheese-tasting menu, which includes salad, a selection of their cheeses, charcuterie, soup and dessert.

There is no set children's menu, but smaller children's portions are available at a cheaper price.
