Le GQ Bar & Restaurant, 2 Alpes

1. Le QG Bar & Restaurant

Le QG is a lively bar and restaurant in Les Deux Alpes, famous for its brunch menu, creative cocktails and relaxed, buzzy vibe. Guests can enjoy pancakes, pizzas, burgers or tapas while soaking up the energetic atmosphere. Popular with both locals and holidaymakers, it’s the perfect spot for a casual meal, après-ski drinks or late-night music, making Le QG a favourite destination for anyone looking to combine great food, drinks and fun in one vibrant setting.

They also do a brunch menu, with sweet and savoury pancakes, avocado toast, bagels, eggs and bacon.  At the bar you'll find a wide selection of cocktails, as well as classic bar drinks. Sports games, live music and DJ sets are a regular occurrence.

2. Le Paellou Restaurant

Known for its simple, but great, traditional French cuisine and reasonable prices, Le Paellou restaurant is also organiser of the unofficial "World Championship for raclette eaters".

Eat as much fondue or raclette as you can without succumbing to a cheese induced coma - now there's a challenge. Particularly popular with both families (children's menu available) and groups, booking in advance is strongly advised.

3. Les Caprices de 1800 Restaurant

Les Deux Alpes

Serving traditional French dishes as well as crepes, this restaurant doubles as an après-ski bar, often showing sports games inside and on the terrace.

This popular restaurant is easy to access right at the foot of the slopes and in the centre of the Village area of Les 2 Alpes. Take a break for lunch during your ski day, ease into a terrace table for an après-ski beer at the end of your day on the mountain, or head out on foot in the evening for dinner. This restaurant is in prime position and the views are fantastic.

The varied menu offers options for a quick and easy crepe or pizza, as well as more intimate French dining, with a mouth-watering selection of roasted or grilled meat and fish dishes, charcuterie and cheese boards, burgers, and Savoyard fondue and raclette.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the portions are generous, all at a price that won't break the bank.

4. Les Mazot 1800 Restaurant

Location
Les Deux Alpes

Friendly local restaurant with a small interior and tables outside in winter and summer. Enjoy real Savoyard fare in a family-friendly environment.

Although this restaurant is quite small, the tables spill out onto the sunny terrace in both summer and winter, to cater for the clientele. The terrace is a popular apres-ski spot, and located in a cul-de-sac so car-free so safe for children to play. In the summer, they sometimes even bring out a trampoline to keep the kids entertained.

Great local Savoyard food is on offer - the fondue and tartiflette come highly recommended = as well as dishes inspired from the north of France such as moules-frites, and international favourites tasty burgers, grilled meats, and moreish chips.

Service is quick and very friendly. This is a great no-frills, family-friendly lunch or dinner spot.

5. Le Petit Charbon de Bois Restaurant

Les Deux Alpes

This restaurant puts a new twist on the traditional Pierrade (hot stone) with an individual indoor charcoal BBQ on your table to grill meats.

The restaurant's speciality is fondue and their original charcoal BBQ for grilling meats, which can also cook raclette cheese below. This is a popular combination for families and groups, as it's an original and fun communal cooking and eating experience at your table.

There are other Savoyard options on the menu, including grilled meat dishes, tartiflettes, charcuterie and cheese boards, as well as an enticing desert menu. There is a good and reasonably-priced wine list to wash down your meal.

The restaurant is cosy inside and had limited tables, but if the weather is nice enough there is outdoor seating and blankets are provided to keep you warm.

Open every day from 11:30 - 14:00 and from 18:00 - 22:30.

Restaurant open for lunch and dinner, serving local Savoyarde specialities, as well as classic French dishes.

Affordable lunch menus are on offer each day, with varied options available as two or three courses. Their signature dish is the matured côte de boeuf, which can be ordered by the kilo and is great for multiple people sharing. 

Inspirations from the lunch menu include veal and tagliatelle and pork shoulder. On the à la carte menu you'll find more grilled meat dishes, gourmet salads and burgers, fish of the day, as well as fondue.

There is an excellent and reasonably-priced wine list, as well as a wide selections of cocktails and classic bar drinks. 

Open daily for lunch and dinner.

About choosing a restaurant in Les 2 Alpes

Worth noting is that at lunchtime most restaurants will offer a well-priced 'Plat du Jour' (dish of the day), normally consisting of locally-sourced meat, potatoes and a salad or seasonal vegetables. Most, if not all of the restaurants in Les Deux Alpes are child friendly, especially if you let them know in advance. Evening meals are normally served from 19:00, and the restaurants are quieter at this time than later on.
